Peter's casino and hospitality experience is vast and encompasses all aspects of a hotel/casino operation. He began his casino career in Las Vegas (1996) with MGM Mirage resorts in an elite management training position. In this role he obtained hands-on experience in room reservation, hotel front desk, hotel management, leisure sales, F.I.T. sales, accounting, finance, general ledger, slots, table games, events, marketing, hard count, soft count and promotions. Post this opportunity, Peter worked with the executive team as a marketing project executive, working on large-scale casino giveaways, property video shoots and the launch of MGM Mirage Resorts Vacations.
Although identified to become established in hotel sales and marketing, Peter found a passion in slots and earned a management position in slots at the Golden Nugget. While in this position he was a part of the hiring team for the Bellagio and the opening team at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS.
All of these experiences fuelled Peter's desire to become an executive management team member and eventually design and open a world-class casino. In 2000, he was recruited by Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls to become an executive operating one of the top-grossing slot departments in North America. While in that role, he was responsible for designing, selecting and purchasing all equipment, and for staffing Fallview Casino Resort, a 200,000 square-foot casino equipped with over 3,000 machines. This project was completed on schedule and on budget. In 2008, he once again earned an opportunity and successfully opened a large-scale casino in Indiana called Indiana Live.
Learning and working in so many positions within the hospitality/casino industry served Peter well in his executive management positions. As a member of an executive team responsible for setting direction and policy for over 5,500 employees and two casino properties, he had a good perspective of all levels of employees and their needs.
